Owyhee Teacher of the Year
Was awarded to Mrs. DeeDee Dann. Later this month, three ECSD educators will be surprised with the honor of being named ECSD’s District Teacher of the Year, along with our Elementary and Secondary STEM Teachers of the Year.
Physicals
Colonel Isaac, Doctor with the Idaho National Guard, is here this week, May 19-22 (Monday-Thursday) to do sports physicals for grades 7-12. Consent forms are needed, please pick up the forms with Colene Paradise. Contact Colene if you have any questions.
Sports Awards
The annual Sports Awards dinner will be Wednesday, May 21 at 6 PM in the gym. Please come and honor our student-athletes.
Prom
The Junior Class and advisor Pamela King are sponsoring the "Vegas Nights" Prom on Saturday, May 24 in the gym. Doors open at 6:30 with the promenade at 7 PM. Cost is $20 per person and $30 per couple.
FFA Banquet
The annual FFA Banquet is scheduled Wednesday, May 28 at 6 PM in the gym.
Testing
MAP Assessments began last week and will continue to makeups this week.
Chromebooks
Please return all extra Chromebooks and chargers to Ms. Andrea Thomas in the Library. Students may continue to use their originally issues Chromebook until the end of year checkout. Items not returned will result in the following fines: Chromebook ~ $400 each; Chromebook Charger ~ $25 each.
ECSD School Board of Trustees Meeting
The next meeting is Tuesday May 20, 2025 at the district office in Elko The meetings begin at 5:30 PM local time.
TRIO Program
Students in grades 9-12 are eligible for TRIO. Students may begin the application process toward the end of the 8th grade if interested. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Imholte, ext. 2307 at the school. Katie will be at the school two days a week - scheduled Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Title VI
A Title VI meeting is scheduled May 19 in Elko and via Google Meet.
Sports
HS qualified Track had a good season with many PRs set by the student-athletes.
