Heidi Fischer has been selected the December AIM winner for EHS! Heidi was nominated for being patient in explaining concepts to students, supporting students in many ways throughout the day, and working with parents through the IEP process. Heidi goes above and beyond to support the needs of her students to see them grow and succeed. She ensures they feel seen, valued and challenged. Heidi is also a great resource to teachers and is always willing to share her expertise. Heidi is a true professional; compassionate, committed and always lending a smile when needed. Elko High School has new additonal handicap parking at Centennial gymnasium. Also a reminder that parking in these spots without proper handicap authorization will result in vehicle owners being cited and vehicles impounded.

The October AIM Award winner is Sarah Cruthirds! Sarah was nominated for being an inspiration to the teachers around her. She is kind and creative and goes the extra mile to make her students feel special and included. We are excited that 160 of our students from Elko, Spring Creek, and Jackpot High Schools had the chance to tour the Health Science departments at Great Basin College to see postsecondary healthcare training in action.

The Q&A, lab tours, and interactive demos showed them exactly what their next steps look like. Invest in a skill, invest in a career!

ECSD is gathering essential feedback for our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, a key requirement under the federal Perkins V Act. Your input directly impacts how we plan, fund, and improve the high-quality career pathways we offer.

Career and Technical Programs at EHS: Nursing Asst, Drafting, Accounting, Hospitality Management, Fashion, Family Consumer Science, Computer Science, Manufacturing, Health (Med Asst and Sports Med), Theater Tech, Ag Science (Plant Science, Animal Science), Teach to Train, Auto, Energy Technology, Multimedia, HVAC, Construction, Digital Game Development, Vet Science, Law Enforcement, and Ag Mechanic. The chances that your student is in one or more of these classes make it even more urgent for you to read on and take the survey!!!!!

This survey helps ensure our CTE programs meet the needs of our students, local businesses, and the community.
